A few days ago I discovered that the cactus, growing behind our house on the edge of the woods, is Prickly-Pear, Florida's native plant, which produces edible fruits: large, fleshy seeded berries.
It first attracted my attention on April 3 when I noticed flower buds (see the photo above).
